School bus involved in car accident, two hurt

Boone residents may be shocked to hear of an accident in Fulton, Missouri, involving a school bus that was carrying 20 kids and a SUV. Fortunately, there were no fatalities in the car accident, but the SUV driver and a 5-year-old boy had to be rushed to an area hospital. The remaining students did not have injuries serious enough to warrant hospital attention, but parents were nonetheless taking them to doctors just in case.

Columbia pedestrian injured after being hit by car

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 31-year-old Columbia man was hit by a vehicle as he tried to cross the road late last month just east of Route N. The man sustained injuries and had to be transported to Boone Hospital Center, where he was listed in serious condition. He was later transferred to University Hospital. It is not known if the 45-year-old driver of the vehicle was injured or if he was charged with any traffic violations related to the car accident.

Accident leaves seven injured, one dead near Boone County

A tragic car accident on Oct. 20 left many Missouri residents wondering: What was this driver thinking? As a result of the incident, the 37-year-old driver has now been charged with involuntary manslaughter and assault. The Audrain County, Missouri, prosecutor filed charges on Oct. 24 stemming from the Oct. 20 car accident.

Missouri ATV rider gets in accident with pickup

Missouri residents know that distracted driving can cause an accident in the amount of time it takes to glance away from the road. Sometimes it is just to change the channel on the radio or maybe to retrieve something from the glove box. It seems like car wrecks caused by inattention are on the rise in Missouri, and it is not always immediately clear what happened. Up in Adair County, an elderly man escaped death in an accident where it is still not entirely clear what happened.
