Missouri car accident leaves driver and passenger injured

When cars cross paths and a collision occurs, drivers and passengers can be put at risk for injuries that can impact their lives. When one driver is responsible for a car accident that results in injuries to innocent drivers and passengers, that responsibility can land that driver in civil court. Filing a civil claim against a liable driver may be an option for injured parties who need monetary help dealing with the financial ramifications of being in that car accident. One accident that recently took place in Missouri resulted in two people needing medical care that could result in unexpected expenses.

The accident occurred on a Friday afternoon in mid-November. An 18-year-old driver was headed west. She reportedly pulled into the path of a car heading south. A collision occurred. The car that was hit was being driven by a 69-year-old woman, and she had a 29-year-old passenger in the car with her.

The 69-year-old woman and her passenger both needed to be transported to an area hospital. They were taken by ambulance and treated for injuries that were reported to be moderate in nature. However, no details were given about the nature of the injuries or whether the other driver sustained any injuries in the collision.

The two women who needed to be transported for medical care may have to deal with medical bills, lost wages, if the injuries caused them to miss work, and possibly on-going treatment if the injuries warrant additional care. It may be difficult for these injured parties, or anyone else injured in a car accident in Missouri, to be sure of the long-term financial impact of an accident. For those facing this kind of uncertainty, the pursuit of damages in civil court may be a good choice for those who are injured and need help retaining financial stability.
