Missouri car accident leads to injuries for two

Two people in their sixties were recently treated for injuries after another car collided with theirs. The two-vehicle car accident happened on a Missouri roadway. Both vehicles involved in the car accident were reported to be totaled.

The accident happened on a Saturday night. A 64-year-old man was headed west in a Kia. Another driver, a 16-year-old male, was headed east at the time. The car driven by the 16-year-old made a left-hand turn. As it did, it went right into the path of the Kia and collided with it.

The 64-year-old and his 63-year-old passenger both suffered what were reported to be moderate injuries, although no details were made available. The individuals were transported to an area hospital for treatment of those injuries. The 16-year-old driver did not sustain any injuries in the crash. All of the people involved were wearing seat belts at the time of the collision.

The two injured parties in this car accident may have to deal with medical bills, ongoing treatment and possibly the financial strain of lost income. Worse yet, an injury can lead to a disability that can impact the ability to return to work at all. In situations such as this, victims can explore the possibility of seeking a civil suit, which can lead to compensation for damages. If any civil claim in a Missouri court does lead to the awarding of damages, those monetary damages can alleviate the financial strain suffered by those who are injured due to the negligence or recklessness of another motorist.
