Faulty car parts lead to higher chance of car accident and injury

Missouri readers who drive certain model Subaru vehicles should be aware of a particularly dangerous issue with their vehicles. Certain models, the 2016 and 2017 Outback and Legacy, have a problem with the steering column, which is very dangerous and brings an increased chance of causing a car accident. A recall affecting over 50,000 vehicles has been initiated, and drivers have been instructed to cease driving these cars until they have been repaired.

According to the automaker, people who own these vehicles should not attempt to drive them to a repair shop. Instead, they should schedule a time for a technician to come to wherever the car is located for an inspection. According to the details of the recall, there is a chance that the steering column can fail, which would result in a driver's complete loss of control of the vehicle.

Older Subaru models will not be affected by this recall, and it is not thought that anyone has been injured or involved in an accident because of this problem. Faulty and defective car parts have the potential to cause significant harm to innocent drivers and passengers. Automakers have the responsibility to notify consumers as soon as possible.

If a Missouri reader has been harmed by a faulty or dangerous car part, including faulty brakes, bad tires, electrical failure and more, he or she has legal rights. Negligent parties can be held to account for the harm suffered in a car accident caused by a bad car part. A personal injury lawyer can evaluate the case and help a victim determine what legal steps would be most effective and appropriate for the individual situation.
