Car accident kills two in Missouri

Car accidents often happen suddenly and unexpectedly. They can cause immense damage, serious injuries and even death. For those who have lost a loved one in a car accident, the shock and pain can be extremely difficult to bear. Whether the victim was a husband and father who was the sole provider for the family, or a young child whose life was ended far too soon, the loss is often felt very deeply by friends and family members. A recent car accident in Missouri illustrates this point.

An elderly couple, 81 and 82 years of age, was driving an all-terrain vehicle down a Missouri highway around 9:30 a.m. on May 22 when they were suddenly struck from behind by another vehicle. The 16-year-old driver had just gone over a hill when the collision occurred.

Sadly, the husband was killed instantly and pronounced dead at the scene. His 82-year-old wife was taken to a hospital but died soon after from injuries sustained in the crash. The 16-year-old driver and a passenger in his vehicle were also treated for injuries. Police are conducting an investigation to determine what may have caused the accident.

Fatal car accidents like this one can leave the friends and family of the deceased feeling devastated. Aside from the emotional burden they will bear, family members may also be faced with expensive funeral costs or medical bills that they were not prepared for. However, there may be ways to obtain compensation for these expenses so family members can focus on providing comfort for one another during such a tragic time.
