Missouri car accidents send four to the hospital

Car accidents are both frightening and costly. Not to mention the fact that they can cause stress for not only the victims, but the family and friends of victims as well. Two separate car accidents that took place in Missouri last week left four people injured and undoubtedly caused a great deal of worry for everyone involved.

A 34-year-old female driver rear ended a vehicle driven by a 78-year-old man as both drivers approached a stop sign. The force of the impact sent the gentleman's car off the road to the west. The young woman's car collided with a sign and also came to rest off the west side of the road. The male driver and his passenger, as well as the female driver were transported to the hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.

A short time later, a separate car accident occurred when the 75-year-old male driver of a Ford Taurus collided with the vehicle of a 35-year old female during an attempt at a lane change. The male driver was transported via ambulance to Heartland Regional where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. The female driver was not injured and did not require medical assistance.

There is currently no word as to whether or not the drivers at fault will face criminal charges. Regardless, the victims may be entitled to financial compensation for their medical bills and damage to their vehicles. That compensation would be awarded as part of a civil process separate from any criminal charges that could result from these accidents.
