Car accident results in hospitalization of two

The Missouri Department of Transportation is currently replacing numerous crossover intersections that have J-turns, in hopes that it will reduce the number of T-bone collisions in the area. One such car accident occurred on the morning of Sept. 29, when a car attempting to cross the southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 63 just south of Columbia was T-boned by another vehicle. According to police, the driver who was attempting to cross the street pulled out in front of the approaching car.

At approximately 7 p.m. on a Wednesday a 57-year-old man was struck by a vehicle on Missouri Highway 11 while riding his bicycle. The cyclist suffered serious injuries from the car accident and was airlifted to University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
