Truck accident kills patron who was eating in Missouri diner

Despite being off the road and inside a building, individuals may still not be out of harm's way when it comes to an automobile accident. Those in buildings near busy Missouri roadways can, without warning, be struck by a vehicle if there is an accident that causes the vehicle to veer off the road. In a recent case, a truck accident resulted in the death of one individual and injured at least three others when the truck crashed into a diner.

Fatal Missouri truck accident details are still emerging

A fatal truck accident can be big news for the community at large. In many cases, individuals who live near the area of a truck accident will check back frequently in order to see if further details have been released by Missouri police. Although the public has a right to know the details surrounding such a tragic event, this right does not trump law enforcement's need to conduct a thorough investigation that can, in certain circumstances, take time to complete.

Another head-on car accident in Missouri brings fatal results

It seems that not a week goes by where there is not another report of a fatal accident on Missouri roadways. Although a car accident that has fatal consequences may have been caused by a variety of reasons, one of the most common is when a vehicle crosses into the oncoming lane of travel, which often results in two vehicles colliding head-on. Another such accident recently occurred in Troy, killing one man and sending two others to the hospital.

SEMO student suffers fatal brain injuries in accident

Friends and family at Southeast Missouri State University are mourning the loss of a student who died after being injured in an accident recently. The nursing student and player on the school's soccer team was tragically struck by a pickup truck on Sept. 9. She suffered severe brain injuries from the collision and passed away at a St. Louis hospital about a week and a half later. The school canceled that weekend's soccer games.

Car crashes can stem Missouri wrongful death action

The unexpected death of a friend or loved one can be difficult for anyone to bear. What can make the grieving process more difficult is if an individual is killed based on the alleged criminal act of another. Car crashes resulting from intoxication cause many such tragedies across the state of Missouri each year, leading many families to seek restitution for damages suffered through the filing of a wrongful death action in civil court.
