Missouri car accident leaves passenger fatally injured

Any time a vehicle leaves the road and rolls over, there is a high risk of injury for anyone in the vehicle. Recently in Missouri, a rollover crash left a passenger fatally injured and the driver was injured also. The man who died from the rollover car accident was 24-years-old.

The crash happened on a Saturday afternoon. A 39-year-old female driver approached a curve and failed to negotiate it correctly. The car then left the roadway and rolled over a number of times. The car also struck a number of trees.

The driver was taken to a St. Louis hospital for treatment of her injuries by Life Flight. The passenger was also transported to a nearby hospital but died from his injuries. The surviving driver is reportedly in serious condition at the hospital.

There is an investigation into this particular car accident by Missouri police. Whether or not the driver is found to be criminally responsible for the death of her passenger, the family of the passenger who was killed may be able to pursue civil action in a Missouri civil court. Whenever a passenger has been killed in a car accident, the family left behind may be entitled to monetary damages that could prove necessary as they try and deal with the aftermath of a car crash. Those monetary damages may help families recover medical costs, funeral costs or even adapt to life without the wages the family may have depended on to maintain a certain lifestyle or deal with any debt.
