Missouri car accident kills 1, injures many

Whenever people come to an intersection, there usually isn't cause for concern if everyone follows the rules of the road. However, if one person fails to follow basic traffic rules, a car accident can occur. Recently in Missouri, a car accident at an intersection left one man dead and several other people seriously injured.

A car driven by a 23-year-old man came to an intersection and failed to stop at a stop sign. This caused him to collide with a pick-up truck that was in the road. Both vehicles were pushed off the road from the impact and the pick-up truck actually overturned after leaving the roadway.

The woman driving the pick-up and her passenger were both seriously injured and needed to be taken from the scene by helicopter for medical treatment. As for the car that hit them, a passenger in that vehicle died from the collision and three other passengers were injured seriously and needed medical attention. There were no details about the exact nature of their injuries or why the car failed to stop at the stop sign.

While there no is word as to any potential criminal charges from this car accident, the family of the man who died and the two people in the pick-up truck might be able to pursue damages in a civil court. In a Missouri civil court, a judge could award monetary damages to the victims of this car accident. Those damages could help cover any medical bills, lost wages, or even funeral costs.
