Missouri man dies from car accident while mowing lawn

When someone is outside doing lawn work, the dangers of the road may be far from their minds. However, for one particular Missouri man, mowing the lawn at a church was enough to bring the dangers of a slick roadway right to him. A car accident happened on a slick turn and the man was hit.

The 59-year-old landscaping employee died from being hit by the car that was in an accident. Around 7:30 a.m., a 48-year-old woman was heading south on the road when she came to a turn. She lost control for some reason and the car ran off of the road. The Mitsubishi overturned a number of times then hit the man mowing the lawn.

Authorities cited other incidents along that particular curve. It seems accidents have been more prevalent when that curve is wet. The woman driving the car was cut out from inside the car and needed medical treatment for what was described as minor injuries.

While there is no mention of criminal charges at the present time, there may be an investigation into why the woman lost control of the car. The man who was lost was described as the sole provider for his family and the financial loss to that family may be immeasurable. In Missouri, if a family loses the sole provider in a car accident such as this where they were not in the wrong, that family may be able to pursue civil damages and be awarded monetary damages that may help them deal with the financial impact of the accident.
