Car accident at Missouri coffee shop results in injuries

Standing in line waiting for a cup of Joe is a daily routine for many and it almost always goes off without a hitch. However, even standing in line at a favorite coffee shop can be in invitation to disaster if the wrong person is behind the wheel of a vehicle nearby. Recently in Missouri, a car plowed through a Starbucks and the car accident left injuries customers in its wake.

The accident occurred just before noon on a Friday. A driver came along and crashed into the building. There were eight people inside the establishment when the car came barreling through.

Of the people inside, five needed to be transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries they sustained, but the extent of their injuries was not known. The rest of the people inside the Starbucks declined treatment at the coffee shop. The driver who went through the building was not injured in the crash. At the time of reporting, it was not known what caused her to plow through the building or if there may be any charges pending.

When someone becomes the unexpected victim of a car accident while waiting in line inside of an establishment, the injuries can vary vastly. If someone has suffered injuries that lead to medical bills, lost wages or ongoing pain and suffering, they may be able to pursue action in a Missouri civil court. If successful, the victim of a car accident may be awarded monetary damages that could help a victim deal with the financial ramifications of the crash.
