Missouri car accident leaves 2 injured

Anytime a driver approaches an intersection, especially at night, it can be intimidating or give one cause to pay extra attention to their surroundings. Accidents can be a frequent and a particularly damaging occurrence in an intersection. An accident in Missouri recently showed just how quickly simply going through an intersection can lead to a car accident any time of day.

The accident occurred in the middle of the afternoon. Reportedly, a man driving a dodge truck did not stop at a red light and came right through an intersection. His truck hit a Nissan Altima in the intersection.

The woman driving the Altima needed to be transported to a hospital for her injuries. A passenger in the truck also needed medical attention and was transported to a hospital in the area. The respective ages of the accident victims were not reported. The specific nature of the injuries is also unknown. The driver of the truck was not reported to have suffered any injuries.

The two parties injured in this accident may be able to pursue claims for financial damages from the driver of the truck that apparently ran a red light. Any personal injury claim in Missouri would likely be based upon the grounds that running a red light was a negligent act that either caused or substantially contributed to the car accident and injuries that resulted. If successful, they could each be awarded a monetary judgment that could be useful toward dealing with medical bills, lost wages and other items of financial damage recognized by our laws.
