Missouri car accident injures several

Whenever people on the road abide by the rules of the road, the risks of being involved in an accident are typically minimal. However, whenever someone fails to yield or stop when there is clear signage requiring them to do so, there may be a collision with serious consequences. A recent car accident in Missouri proved just how dangerous it can be when someone does not stop when they should.

The accident occurred on a Missouri roadway in the afternoon. A Chevrolet driven by a 60-year-old man apparently did not stop at a posted sign. His vehicle subsequently collided with something being towed by a Ford. This led to the Ford going off the road and overturning.

The Ford was operated by a 40-year-old man. He was seriously injured in the collision and was airlifted from the scene of the crash. There were two passengers in the Ford, ages 33 and 34. They were also injured and transported by ambulance to a medical facility.

The seriously injured driver may need extensive medical care and will likely incur medical bills and lost wages while he recovers. His two passengers may also have medical bills and other expenses related to the frightening accident. They may be able to pursue claims for damages in a Missouri civil court as a result of the car accident, based upon evidence of negligence. If they are successful in civil court, the damages they could potentially win may help them deal with those medical bills and any other financial losses attributed to the accident.
