3 people killed in Missouri car accident on Hwy 60

Whenever a driver loses control of a motor vehicle for any reason, a car accident is a distinct possibility. It can result in injuries or even lead to fatalities. A recent Missouri car accident resulted in the death of three individuals, and other victims were injured and in need of medical attention.

A 22-year-old man was driving a pickup truck on Highway 60 in Wright County. He lost control of the vehicle for an as yet unknown reason. The truck went off the left side of the roadway and crossed a median. It then struck an oncoming van head-on.

The pickup driver was killed. The 54-year-old van driver and a passenger in her vehicle were also killed in the collision. Four other passengers in the van, ranging in age from seven through 42, were injured. Three of those people were transported by air to receive necessary medical attention.

Even though the driver believed to have been responsible for the accident is deceased, the victims who were injured and the family of the other driver who died may still have legal recourse. They each have the option to seek monetary damages from the estate of the other driver, as well as any other party with an ownership interest in the pickup truck, based upon proof that the pickup driver negligently caused the collision and the tragic consequences that resulted. Any kind of damages awarded by a Missouri civil court that victims are able to successfully pursue can help those victims cope with the financial losses incurred as a result of the horrific car accident.
