Police search for woman involved in Missouri car accident

Parking lots are generally safe places for both drivers and pedestrians. However, parking lots can also be the scene of a car accident under the right circumstances. When one occurs, the person responsible may face charges depending on the situation. A recent car accident in a Missouri parking lot has led to police trying to locate the woman allegedly responsible.

The incident occurred in a liquor store parking lot in early December. A woman allegedly caused what was described as a chain reaction car accident. After the accident, the woman reportedly attempted to leave the scene. As she did so, a tow truck driver grabbed the hood of her vehicle and tried to stop her.

The tow truck driver was dragged by the woman's vehicle. She was able to flee the scene, while the man needed medical treatment. He was reported to have suffered a head injury. A bystander who saw the incident unfold took a picture of the woman's license plate. Police are currently trying to locate her, but have not released any information about potential charges she may face regarding the incident.

Since the female driver's license plate number is known, it is likely that law enforcement will not have great difficulty in locating her. Once she is located and the investigation into the accident is completed, the driver of the tow truck may choose to file a personal injury claim against her in a Missouri civil court because of the injury he suffered in the car accident. If his claim is successful, he could be awarded compensation for the losses he suffered as a result of his injuries.
