Car accident leads to injuries in Missouri

Even when someone is abiding by the rules of the road, he or she may find him or herself reminded that not everyone else on the road may be doing the same. If another person on the road is acting recklessly or breaking the law in some way, that person may be putting others at risk for injury or worse. Several people in Missouri became car accident injury victims recently because of the allegedly reckless behavior of another driver.

The incident occurred on a Saturday night in late January. The police were pursuing a man who was driving a vehicle they had determined to be stolen. As police pursued the alleged thief, the car he was driving struck another vehicle on the road.

The car that was struck by the stolen car had several people inside. There were three who were injured. Two of those people were reported to be in critical condition, while the other was reported to be stable. The extent of their injuries was not described in accounts of the accident. The police took custody of the driver who caused the crash.

When someone acts recklessly and injuries occur, the injured parties may be able to pursue legal action in a Missouri civil court. Pursuing a personal injury suit may lead to a settlement or award decided by the court. Any kind of car accident injury award may prove helpful as injured parties seek medical treatment, deal with lost wages or contend with other financial difficulties that were the result of being victims of car accidents.
