Head-on car accident in Missouri takes life of 1 driver

A lack of attention to surroundings can have serious consequences for drivers and others on the road. A recent car accident in Missouri seems to have been caused by the inattention of one driver. This led to a three vehicle crash that took the life of a 34-year-old man.

The accident unfolded as a small orange car was rear-ended by a Ford Escape. The impact propelled it into oncoming traffic. When this occurred, a concrete mixer truck hit the orange car head-on.

The driver of that car died as a result of the car accident. Several tow trucks were needed at the scene to remove the vehicles, including the concrete mixer. Though the mixer was not filled to capacity, it still required a coordinated effort to remove it from the side of the road. The 79-year-old woman who was driving the Escape and the driver of the concrete truck both suffered what were reported to be moderate injuries. A reconstruction team is investigating the accident, and there is no word yet as to whether anyone involved will face criminal charges.

The family of the 34-year-old who was killed in this car accident is likely entitled to seek monetary damages in a Missouri civil court. A successfully litigated wrongful death claim may help the deceased victim's family deal with any financial losses and emotional strain resulting from the loss of their loved one in this car accident. Any monetary judgment awarded may help to address medical bills, funeral costs, lost wages and other financial losses recognized by our laws.
