Multi-vehicle car accident in Missouri results in injuries

When more than one car is involved in an accident, the chances of injuries are naturally increased. A multi-vehicle car accident recently occurred in Missouri and resulted in injuries for two of the drivers and a passenger who were involved. The mid-afternoon car accident also caused substantial damage to three vehicles.

The accident occurred as a 54-year-old woman was driving a Toyota Corolla. She hit the brakes to avoid colliding with another vehicle. As she did, a 25-year-old driving a Ford van hit her vehicle. Then, a 40-year-old driver operating a Dodge Ram hit the Ford van.

The first driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to an area medical facility. The second driver was reported not to have suffered injuries in the car accident. However, the driver of the Dodge Ram suffered moderate injuries and had a passenger who sustained injuries also. That passenger was 32 years old. Two of the vehicles were total losses, and one had extensive damage.

A car accident of this nature may be difficult to investigate, and it may be hard to pinpoint any culpability as rear-end collisions can make the situation complicated. The injured parties in this car accident may have to deal with medical bills for the injuries sustained as well as financial losses from their vehicles being so badly damaged. One legal recourse for those who were injured may be to seek damages in a Missouri civil court and use any monetary damages awarded to handle the financial ramifications of becoming embroiled in this multi-vehicle car accident.
