Head-on car accident takes 4 lives in Missouri

A head-on car accident can be difficult for authorities to investigate, even more so when there are no survivors of the car accident. This was the case with regard to a recent Missouri crash. The head-on car accident left four men dead, and investigators are still trying to decipher exactly what happened.

The crash happened on a Wednesday afternoon. Two brothers, ages 62 and 64, occupied a Hyundai. That vehicle hit a Lincoln Navigator head-on. There were two men in the Lincoln also.

According to officials, the Hyundai was traveling north when it crossed over a median and struck the other vehicle for reasons that have yet to be determined. All four men died due to injuries suffered in the crash. The two brothers and one of the other men in the vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The fourth individual was transported by life flight to a hospital, but he passed away as well.

Based upon the preliminary evidence, it appears as if the Hyundai driver was responsible for the fatal crash. The surviving family members of the other accident victims may choose to pursue a wrongful death lawsuit in a Missouri civil court. This type of legal claim must be based upon appropriate proof of negligence that is found to have caused or substantially contributed to the crash and deaths that resulted. If liability is established by appropriate proof, the court will consider demands for specific items of financial damages. Any damages awarded can help family members deal with the financial burden of losing a loved one in an unexpected and tragic car accident.
