Car accident in Missouri takes 1 life, leaves another injured

Intersections can often be the scene of car accidents, particularly when a driver runs through a stop sign. One recent devastating car accident took place at a Missouri intersection. The car accident took the life of one driver and left another driver injured and in serious condition.

The accident occurred at 6 p.m. A vehicle was headed south on the roadway. That vehicle ran through the stop sign for some reason. A car was heading west at the same time. The first vehicle ended up hitting that car in a T-bone type of collision.

There were only drivers in both vehicles, no passengers. The driver of the car that was hit was transported to an area hospital for the treatment of serious injuries that he sustained, although specifics of those injuries were not reported. The driver of the vehicle that caused the accident died at the scene of the car accident.

When a car accident such as this occurs, an injured driver may have to contend with medical bills, lost wages and numerous other financial losses related to suffering serious injuries sustained in a car accident. Even though the driver who presumably caused the car accident died at the scene, the injured driver still has legal options to ensure medical bills and other financial losses are recuperated. The injured driver may be able to pursue damages against the estate of the at-fault driver in a Missouri civil court. If successful in proving liability, that driver may garner adequate damages to avoid financial hardship due to being the victim of a car accident.
