Chain reaction car accident injures six in Missouri

A morning chain reaction car accident led to traffic problems and worse for a number of unfortunate people in the wrong place at the wrong time. The car accident resulted in injuries for six people in three vehicles. The Missouri State Highway Patrol was investigating the car accident.

The collision happened on a Saturday morning. A woman was driving a Suburban, and she slowed down because there was a car preparing to turn into a parking lot in front of her. As she did so, another vehicle came behind her and hit the back of her vehicle. That vehicle was driven by a 20-year-old man. Then, a 31-year-old came along and hit the back of that vehicle.

One of the drivers involved sustained moderate injuries in the car accident. There were five other people injured in the car accident also. All of the injured parties needed to be transported to a medical facility for treatment of the injuries suffered. Tow trucks came to the scene to remove vehicles and get the roadway cleared about an hour and a half later.

The car accident that snarled traffic on the Missouri roadway and left injured parties in its wake may have also resulted in medical bills and other financial losses for those who were injured. The injuries sustained can also lead to lost wages if those injuries meant a victim was unable to return to work or needed to miss more work to deal with on-going treatment of rehabilitation for those injuries. Injured parties may be able to pursue financial compensation for those losses if they choose to pursue a personal injury claim in a Missouri civil court.
