Car accident in Missouri leaves a passenger injured

Turning onto or off of roadways can put any driver and passenger in a vulnerable position. When a collision occurs as a car is turning onto another road, there is a substantial risk of injury to people in both vehicles, particularly anyone on the side of the vehicle that took the brunt of the collision. A car was recently turning on a Missouri roadway when a car accident ensued and left a passenger injured in the process.

The accident happened on a Saturday night when a 22-year-old man was driving a Honda Accord. The Accord was headed south and started to turn left onto another road. This was when a Ford pickup heading north came along and hit the Accord. That truck was driven by a 45-year-old man.

The accident did not cause injury to either driver involved. However, there was a 20-year-old passenger in the Accord who did sustain injures. That passenger was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries. The Accord was reported to be totaled while the pickup truck only suffered moderate damage in the collision.

The innocent passenger in this car accident may incur extensive medical bills, the financial impact of lost wages and the possible expense of on-going treatment if necessary. In cases such as this, Missouri motorists and passengers who are injured may have cause to pursue a personal injury suit in a Missouri civil court. This can yield monetary damages in some cases and help injured parties alleviate the financial strain suffered due to the careless or reckless actions of another.
