Multi-vehicle car accident in Missouri leaves tons of wreckage

The more cars involved in an accident, the greater the chance of injuries and damages, statistically speaking. One recent car accident in Missouri left behind a great deal of wreckage that will take some time to clear out of the way. The car accident involved five cars.

The accident occurred on the interstate. It was reported that three of the victims involved had to be cut out of their vehicles in order to be free of the wreckage. Five or six people had to be transported to hospitals for medical treatment of their injuries, although there were no specifics as to the severity of the injuries suffered by any of the victims.

The multi-vehicle accident caused a major traffic backup on the eastbound side of the highway. Reports said it would be some time before the roadway would be completely cleared of the wreckage from the collision. There is no word as to who may have caused the crash or who may hold a percentage of liability.

Once a thorough investigation concludes, victims in this car accident may have a clear picture of who may have been at-fault or who may hold some percentage of liability for the accident. Once that liability is established, the victims who needed medical attention may be able to pursue personal injury suits in Missouri civil court. This option, if successful, can lead to the award of damages for victims who are saddled with medical bills, lost wages and other financial losses due to the negligence of another driver on the road.
